Giving Online to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Our alumni and friends provide essential support for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) teaching programs and research enterprise.

ECE attracts some of the top faculty researchers from academia and industry and is the largest of the five academic departments within UC Santa Barbara's College of Engineering.  Our Department was ranked among the top 5 ECE graduate research programs in the nation by the National Research Council in 2010; and the faculty includes a number of members of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineers and one Nobel Laureate.  Other faculty awards include the IEEE Medal of Honor, National Medal of Technology, several IEEE Fellows, several NSF Career Awards, as well as AAAS Fellows.

The goal of our Department has always been to provide our students with the best possible opportunities to learn and develop.  Our talented students are engaged in research at the forefront of many areas of ECE, including Communications & Signal Processing, Computer Engineering, Control Systems, and Electronics & Photonics.

Our Department's continued success is made possible in part by the generosity of annual unrestricted gifts.  Please join us as we educate our students to become leaders and seek solutions through innovative research.  Please make your annual gift to ECE today - every dollar makes a difference.
